For the sermon series at Schweitzer Church, “Elijah: Just Like Us,” we created a series of short films that tell the story of Elijah from the Bible. Another staff member, Sydney Schildknecht, created all of the artwork for the project while I did all of the animations and produced all of the audio, including recording the voice-over narration and all sound effects (the music was sourced from Soundstripe). I also wrote the scripts, using a combination of different translations of the Bible as well as some of my own verbage.
I was very proud of the project as it created a more visual way of reading the scripture and alleviated the pastor’s need to read the long story out of the Bible while preaching the message. We received a lot of high praise for our work, and I am excited to work with Sydney again in the future to make more fun films such as this.
