When I was in high school, my siblings and I made a fun (and pretty terrible) short film which featured us “sword” fighting with Wiffle ball bats and running around my parent’s property. Spoiler alert: the winner of the fight was my one-year-old niece.
Fast forward thirteen years and we’ve all grown up and the family has gotten a lot larger. At a family gathering this summer, my nieces and nephews (there are 8 of them now) begged me to make a sequel to the original film but now featuring all of them and my own infant daughter. Being the fun uncle that I am, I agreed, and off we went to create the same magic in a new and improved short film.
I made some improvements to the quality, but I wanted to keep the amature feeling of the original intact where I could. This entire project was filmed in just one day and edited the next day. Hopefully, this is a good example of one of my personal most important core values: FUN.
