Due to some wild turns of events, in mid-October 2024, I suddenly found myself the Editor-in-Chief of the Schweitzer Spark Magazine. The December issue had already been planned and most writing assignments had been made, but no design work had been done yet. In addition to this, the magazine’s primary designer, Sydney Foust, was gone on a month-long vacation to celebrate her honeymoon.
So, it was down to me to design almost the entire magazine (with a few pages partially laid out by Sydney). I spent the better part of November working on it and was actually able to send it to print a few days ahead of schedule!
