This video was created to promote and as a bumper video for each sermon in the Jesus Went sermon series at Schweitzer United Methodist Church. This series took place during Lent in 2017. I used stock footage with motion graphics to convey the feeling of going on a journey with Christ.
I also created the graphics for the series. The idea was to use two large icons to convey the message of Jesus going to different places. The Plus Sign and the Double Arrow served as the perfect icons thanks to their equal number of components, which created an interesting sense of symmetry. The background image conveys a feeling of multiple locations and motion, while only using one photo, but flipped and scaled differently, and with multiple color overlays.
I am particularly proud of this design and accompanying video and have had the opportunity to share it with several other churches to use for their ministries.

This is an amazing graphic and video. Thank you for posting it. I pastor a small rural church that is entering the second year of a major revitalization process. Our new mission statement is to reach the lost at any cost. I love the idea of combining Jesus Went for Lent with the Great Commission. I don’t have the ability and can’t afford to produce video bumpers for my sermon series, but I love to use them. This will work great with my Easter series this year. Thank so much.
